System Design, Networking, and Implementation |
From designing the structure, layout, data paths, and topology, to installation of the servers, workstations and peripherals, including installation with setup of software, to training of the employee's, we do it all.
On-Site & Off-Site Maintenance (keeping it running)
|
As unique as the "one-stop shopping" approach to computers, is our highly competitive cost structure, that combines the setup and design with the on-going maintenance, to give you consistent costs of service, and the confidence of knowing that someone is looking out for you.
We recently have implemented a REQUIRED CONTRACT plan that greatly discounts our services to those who get on-going maintenance. We have found that companies/employee's are not doing the maintenance required to safely run their computer systems, and have been leaving themselves vulnerable to many situations that could literally shut down the company. We felt that it was in everyone's best interest to implement an on-going program that keeps systems running, insures proper backups are being made, and overall protects the companies, for the nominal difference, instead of just being there to patch problems after they have already occurred.
Over the past several years, the computer industry has undergone many changes. We have seen a steady increase in computing speed, the connectivity of systems on many topologies and platforms, and the change from difficult to configure systems to "user installable" programs and hardware. Through all the changes, one of the constants is that I have been performing the same high quality, one-stop-shopping, solutions to all of your computer needs.
In the past, We have tried to take on hundreds of clients, trying to be everything to everyone. This works fine, if everyone’s needs, do not become overwhelming, and the requirements are minimal. However, today this is not the case. Systems are easier to install, but fail more often. They require constant monitoring, maintenance, and updating. With the inter-connection to the Internet, there are constant threats from viruses, hackers, and internal threats from liability, as employee’s download various applets and scripts. Overall, there is much more to do, and many more things that can go wrong. What is needed to combat this new environment, is a new strategy.
We have tried to keep costs down, and respond on an as-needed basis. This worked when systems were more dependable, and software was less complicated, but today, the daily threat of disaster has left us vulnerable in so many ways, it is time to make a change ! We have so many issues, from the less reliable hardware to the extremely complicated and fragile operating systems and programs, to Internet threats such as viruses and hackers. On all fronts the amount of work needed far exceeds the "put out the fires" approach of years past.
What we do requires a mutual commitment. We are available to fix problems when they occur, and to perform the routine maintenance necessary to attempt to prevent disasters from occurring. We limit our clientele to an amount that can be handled (even if a emergencies occur simultaneously). We are available to come out regularly to perform regular maintenance, virus file installation, system agent review, overall inspection and cleanup of systems, file server repairs, review network functionality, etcetera . We will also commit to selling you whatever hardware-software you need (that we have access to) at wholesale costs (plus sales tax), and only charge for labor of installation on all replacement items you need.
What we need on your part is a commitment to number of hours a month of work (usually based on the quantity of computers, servers, printers and other items that you have that requires software maintenance). This is a form of "business insurance", that will guarantee that when you need work done, it can be performed. It will also give us the stability necessary to get your work done without taking on more clients than can be serviced if problems arise, and be able to hire additional personnel to further guarantee that effective service can always be carried out.
More details of what "the plan" consists of:
What is included in the monthly fees ?
| Consulting, the ability to get answers and recommendations, | |
| On-Site maintenance of your hardware and software, | |
| Training of operating systems, procedures, and common software, | |
| Administration of your servers, eliminating the requirement of hiring a full time administrator and the related costs, | |
| Off-Site maintenance is the ability to "connect-in" and repair problems without the need to wait until a scheduled day, or the expense of an emergency repair | |
| Wholesale replacements of hardware components, peripherals, etc. that we have available to us, including clone parts suppliers, brokers and importers. Full systems that require extensive labor, may require additional labor charges, and will be proposed as necessary. | |
| Basic web site and email accounts, and server related services. | |
| Getting started service: which includes general data cleanup, disk maintenance, anti-virus updating, review of security & procedures, disaster recovery implementation, topology mapping and station documenting. |
What is not included in the monthly fee ?
| When hours exceed your standard maintenance, you will be given the choice of completing the project this month (billed hourly), or doing it as part of your next months hours. | |
| Replacement hardware (billed separately). | |
| Reductions of our services because you have service contracts on equipment or software. | |
| Costs of media (CD's), communications (i.e. DSL or Phone lines), etc. | |
| Domain name, registration and related fees. | |
| Complex or high-bandwidth web pages, or additional work required do to improper use of the email accounts (spamming). | |
| If the "getting started service" requires repairs to equipment, upgrades to software, or other issues that we consider to extensive to include in the startup, we will create a proposal of your startup costs | |
| SOFTWARE LICENSING (you must arrange licensing fees yourself). |
